The Reverse Osmosis Principle

Since the pore size of the RO membrane is five millionths of that of a human hair (0.0001 micron), it is generally invisible to the naked eye. Bacteria and viruses are 5,000 times larger. Therefore, only water molecules and some mineral ions that are beneficial to the human body can pass through. Other impurities and heavy metals are discharged from the wastewater pipe, so the RO membrane is also called a high-tech artificial kidney outside the body. Water purified by reverse osmosis membrane contains almost no other impurities and is generally called pure water.
